This tool was developed to to streamline and simplify the process of forming the supervisory committee.

Masters: 

Requires a committee of three (3) people.

Doctoral:

Requires a committee of five (5) people.

Rules:

Allowed to deviate from one rule only.

  1. The committee chair and the majority of the committee must be tenure-line in the home department. (Check rank here.)
  2. One (1) member of the supervisory committee must be from another department (doctoral requirement).

  • Member 1: Zhu (Tenure-line, home department)
  • Member 2: Ibarra (Tenure-line, home department)

Meets Requirements

Masters Committee- Example Two

  • Chair: Barber (Tenure-line, home department)
  • Member 1: McPherson (Tenure-line, home department)
  • Member 2: Pomeroy (Career-line, home department)

Meets Requirements

Masters Committee- Example Three

  • Chair: Rashidi (Tenure-line, home department)
  • Member 1: Brockman (Career-line, home department)
  • Member 2: Babu (Career-line, home department)
