The purpose of the American Society of Civil Engineers at the University of Utah is to help students gain valuable skills and connections by networking students in Civil Engineering with other students and working professionals, as well as providing activities and experiences to further students’ professional development.

Through community service, educational programs, and social functions, our chapter aims to foster a vibrant and supportive community that enables every student to reach his or her highest potential.

In 2022, the U's student chapter received a Certificate of Commendation for its outstanding activities as recorded in the ASCE's Chapter Annual
Report. This is a distinction earned by only the top 5% of all student chapters.
